It is something I have not thought about for quite some time (although by instict I always look at them in shops if I see them).
I found myself immediately looking out all of my decks of Tarot cards just so that I could look at them again. So I thought I'd list them here....
1. Balbi Bilingual Tarot : The first set I ever got, its in Spanish and English. I bought it when I was about 15yrs from a tobacco shop would you believe? This is the only set I used to do readings with and the box is now affectionately worn from use.
2. Dragon Tarot: Probably my second set. It is just beautiful with all the cards using dragons to depict the symbology.
3. Ibis Tarot: Based on the symbology of Ancient Egypt this set was a gift from a friend.
4. H.R. Giger Tarot: A bit of a fun set that I got because I enjoyed the film Alien so much.
5. The Lord of the Rings Tarot: OK technically hubby's but he doen't have much interest in it so has been added to my collection :)
6. Osho Zen Tarot: An interesting set which doesn't follow the usual Tarot descriptions, it is based on the wisdom of Zen. The pictures are inspirational too.
7. Minature Tarot Deck: The cards are the size of a postage stamp - its just very cool. I got this in a Christmas stocking one year...
8. The Robin Wood Tarot (no not Robin Hood): Someone did a reading for me using these cards and I just loved the artistry and symbology so simply had to add them to my collection...
9. The Ancient Egyptian Tarot: Another Egyptian tarot - the cards are just beautiful...
10. I have at least 2 other sets of Tarot cards with no particular theme which were bought from cheap bookshops.
I've never understood my fascination for Tarot cards but have decided that I really out to spend some time looking at them all again and perhaps even adding more to my collection....
